The man behind the lens at Voltaic is Australian-born photographer, Jordan Dowding.
Jordan started his career with a university education in film and television production, specialising in cinematography. He spent 8 years working in various roles in the industry on everything from dinosaur documentaries to HBO series to Palme d’Or winning shorts.

Amidst the disruption of the pandemic, Jordan took the opportunity to put an intense film career on pause, leaving familiar shores for experience abroad - first in Canada, and then France. Along the way he kept his camera close at hand however, shooting sometimes for friends and family, sometimes for businesses by word of mouth, sometimes just for fun. Now established overseas, in 2023 he officially launched Voltaic as a professional photographic service, operating part-year between Quebec and the Bourgogne region in central France.
